The Best Of TV Awards 2013 winner in the category of Best Couple is Dr. Lauren Lewis & Bo "Lost Girl". After a setback last year that say the 2011 Champions lose to the couple from Castle Richard & Kate, the 1st ever same sex couple nominated for our awards reclaimed their title. Dr. Lauren Lewis & Bo of "Lost Girl" or as their fanbase call them Doccubus (Doctor & Succbus), finished 2nd last year by a mere 58 votes, but didnt have the same heartbreak this year, as their 1350 votes took the title back. Runner up was "Once Upon A Time" couple Mr.Gold & Belle (Rumbelle) were well back with 1084 votes. In 3rd was the 1st ever all male couple to make the finals, Kurt Hummel & Blaine Anderson (Klaine) from "Glee" nabbed 867 votes to finish 3rd. Rounding out the top 5, 2012 Champion Richard Castle & Kate Beckett (Caskett) from "Castle" were well back in 4th, Prince Charming & Snow White (Snowing) "Once Upon A Time" finished 5th. Dr. Sheldon Cooper & Amy Farrah Fowler (ShAmy) "The Big Bang Theory 6th, Lily Aldrin & Marshall Eriksen "How I Met Your Mother" 7th, 3X finalist Peter Bishop & Olivia Dunham "Fringe" finished 8th, Damon Salvatore & Elena Gilbert (Delena) "The Vampire Diaries" were 9th, Penny & Leonard "The Big Bang Theory" was 10th & Shawn Spencer & Juliet O'Hara (Shules) "Psych" finished in 11th. Day 1 had Klaine with 5 leads, Rumbelle 4, Duccubus 3, ShAmy & Polivia also held the lead. Day 2 was Klaine. Day 3 saw Doccubus with 3 leads, Klaine & Caskett also had the lead, Da4 on Doccubus had the lead minus a 3-4 hr spot where Rumbelle had the lead on day 5. Doccubus 1350 votes sets a new category record, breaking Doccubus 2011 total of 1170. This is also the 1st category record to have a winner that won in a previous year but not consecutively. The Best Of TV Awards 2013 winner in the category of Best Episode is Sacrifice "Supernatural". For the 3rd year in a row "Supernatural" wins the Best Episode award, for the 2nd year in a row, it was a season finale episode. Sacrifice (also the name of the runner up episode, also a season finale, which aired the same night on the same channel.) which was the season 8 finale for Supernatural saw the Winchesters favorite angel Castiel mistakenly got all the angels cast out of heaven & down to earth. The episode bulldozed its competition in the last couple days & went on to win with 426 votes. Runner up, the "Arrow" season finale, also titled Sacrifice, nabbed 376 votes. In 3rd the "Continuum" season 2 finale Sacrifi... no, just kidding, it was titled Second Time, it nabbed 338 votes to narrowly take 3rd. Dark Hollow "Once Upon A Time" was 4th, The Rains Of Castamere "Game Of Thromes" was 5th. LARP And The Real Girl "Supernatural" was 6th. Holy Terror "Supernatural" was 7th. An Enemy Of Fate "Fringe" was 8th. As Time Goes By "Supernatural" was 9th. Fallout "Haven" was 10th. As Peter Pan on "Once Upon A Time" Robbie Kay has built up quite a fanbase & it showed. Kay wins the inagural Best Youth Actor award with 1504 votes. Runner up is someone who shared a lot of screen time with Robbie this season on "Once Upon A Time" Jared Gilmore had 699 votes. In 3rd, well back was Chandler Riggs of "The Walking Dead" as the grown up past his years Carl Grimes had 422 votes. Nolan Gould of "Modern Family" was 4th, Jake T. Austin "The Fosters" was 5th, Rowan Longwirth "Fringe" was 6th & Shane Harper "Good Luck Charlie" finished in 7th Early in the voting Chandler Riggs & Rowan Longworth had leads, but by the end of day 1, Kay had taken the lead and never looked back. Robbie Kay set a current record of 1504 votes in the inagural award. Robbie Kay margain of victory 805 votes, is also the inagural record. The director of probably the most talked about episode of Glee in recent years, Brad Falchuk won the honour of Best Director with his work on "The Quarterback", an episode that was surely a challenge for not just the cast, but the crew too as they paid tribute to 1 of their shows biggest stars after the death of Cory Monteith. Falchuk won with 496 votes. Runner up was Philip Sgriccia for the (Supernatural) season finale "Sacrifice" with 450 votes. In 3rd was David Barrett for his work on (Arrow) finale "Sacrifice" with 429 votes. Rounding out the top 5 were Guy Norman Bee "Devil May Care" (Supernatural) who was a runner up last year on a different Supernatural episode came in 4th. John Fawcett "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" (Orphan Black) was 5th. Day 2 thru 5 Barrett had the lead. Day 6 Barrett, Sgriccia & Falchuk had the lead. Falchuk led & never looked back on the final day, despite a close single digit lead with ess than 10 hrs left. The defending champion once again obliterated the competition as the host of The Ellen Show, Ellen Degeneres was the only daytime talk show host in the finals for the 2nd consecutive year. With a total of 1590 votes Ellen had more than the other 5 finalsts combined. Runner up Jimmy Fallon, after not even making the finals last year managed to snag 2nd with 411 votes. In 3rd was Stephen Colbert from "The Colbert Report" with 359 votes. Rounding out the finalists Jon Stewart, last years runner up was 4th. Conan O'Brien was 5th. Jimmy Kimmel was 6th This award was never in question, as Degeneres had the lead from the 1st few minutes of the vote & never looked back. Ellen Degeneres 1590 votes crushed last years record of 452. Degeneres win differential of 1179 was the largest of this year. The Academy Award winning Hunger Games hottie won this year with 1,114 votes, after finishing 6th last year. Runner up for a 3rd time in a row, to 3 different winners, Zoie Palmer from "Lost Girl" with 1075 votes. Palmer held the lead for most of the vote, but lost the lead with about 48 hrs to go, breifly got it back, only to lose it with about 16 hours left & never got it back. In 3rd Anna Silk also of "Lost Girl" was well back with 702 votes. This was her 2nd consecutive 3rd place finish. Rounding out the top 5 were Jennifer Morrison of "Once Upon A Time" & Emily Bett Rickards "Arrow". In 6th was last years champion Stana Katic from "Castle". 7th was Olivia Wilde, 8th Nina Dobrev of "The Vampire Diaries", 9th Kat Dennings from "2 Broke Girls", 10th Kaley Cuoco "The Big Bang Theory & in last was Anna Torv of "Fringe" in her 3rd finals. There was a staggering 17 lead changes on day 1. Lawrence & Palmer had 5 each, Emily Bett Rickards had 3 leads, Anna Silk, Anna Torv, Stana Katic & Kat Dennings also had the leads breifly the 1st day. Eventually the top 2 would seperate from the rest of the pacl, Palmer & Lawrence would switch the leads another 9 times over the final 6 days of voting. Jennifer Lawrence set a new record for votes in this category with 1114, Zoie Palmer also broke the previous record held by Erica Durance of 909 in 2011. The Supernatural stud won for the 3rd time in a row with 1,057 votes, almost 200 clear of his closest competitor "Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch, who made his run too late. Cumberbatch was 6th with 2 days left in voting before finally catching some fire, only to end up short in the end as Ackles made it a hat trick of Sexiest Actor honours. In 3rd was Colin O'Donoghue. The man who brings Captain Hook to life on "Once Upon A Time" was consistently in the top 3, but never managed to keep the momentum going as he dropped what was a close race between him & Ackles early on in the final days. Rounding out the top 5 "Supernatural" angel extraordinairre Misha Collins, just ahead of Hannibal Lecter himself, Mads Mikkelsen. A tie for 6th between Jared Padalecki & Stephen Amell. In 8th Johnny Depp. 9th Chris Hemsworth. 10th Chris Evans. 11th Tom Mison. Well back in last place was 3X finalist, Gale Harold. Several lead changes happened in the 1st day. Johnny Depp, Chris Evans, Stephen Amell, Colin O'Donoghue & Jensen Ackles all held leads on the 1st day. Ackles would take the lead on day 2 & did not lose it again after. Benedict Cumberbatch 862 vote is a new record for a runner-up, previously held by Tom Welling at 851 from 2011.
